On March 28, 2025, Michael Spyres returns to his home state, Missouri, and specifically to the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center, as the star of a concert entitled “Lyrical Daydreams”, where he sings two passionate song cycles: Benjamin Britten’s hallucinatory “Les illuminations”, and Gustav Mahler’s melancholic and introspective “Songs of a Wayfarer”. Stéphane Denève conducts the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra in a program that includes Claude Debussy’s “Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun” and Franz Liszt’s “Les préludes”. Juan Sancho sings the role of Marzio in a new Claus Guth production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Mitridate, re di Ponto” at the Teatro Real Madrid. Ivor Bolton leads the Orchestra of the Teatro Real. The rest of the cast includes Juan Francisco Gatell in the title role, Sara Blanch as Aspasia, Elsa Dreisig as Sifare, Franco Fagioli as Farnace, Marina Monzó as Ismene, and Franco Klisovic as Arbate. The premiere is on March 23, with additional performances on 26, 28 March; 1, 4, 8 April.

On March 22 and 25, 2025, up-and-coming tenor Krzysztof Lachman will sing the role of Nemorino in “L’elisir d’amore” at the Teatr Wielki Łódź, in a production by Wojciech Adamczyk andunder the musical direction of Rafał Janiak (22.03), Daniel Mieczkowski (25.03). He will share the stage with Aleksandra Borkiewicz – Cłapińska and Bohdana Habryielian (25.03) as Adina, Daniel Mirosław (and Robert Ulatowski(25.03) as Dulcamara, Armando Pina and Arkadiusz Anyszka (23.03) as Belcore, and Patrycja Krzeszowska – Kubit, and Katarzyna Pawłowska (25.03) as Giannetta. The Krakow-born artist received his vocal training at the Academy of Music in Łódź, where he completed his master studies in June 2024.
On March 22, 2025, Victoria Massey will sing the alto solo part in George Frideric Handel’s “The Messiah” in Händelhalle in Halle (Saale). Proinnsías O’Duinn will conduct the Staatskapelle Halle. Handel's birthday has been celebrated at the Georg-Friedrich-Händel Halle on his birthplace, Halle an der Saale, since 2000. Every year, over 400 singers from all over the world come together to rehearse for three days, perform in concert, and enjoy a rich supporting program. Equally at home on the operatic scene and in concert halls, Victoria Massey has long been recognized as one of the foremost interpreters of the Saxon composer’s most popular oratorio.
On March 22, 2025, in Ripon, Beth Taylor will sing the alto soloist in Edward Elgar’s “Sea Pictures” with the St. Cecilia Orchestra under the musical direction of Xenophon Kelsey, as part of the Orchestra’s Spring Season. The program also features Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No.1 and Helena Munktell’s “Breaking Waves”. In the last couple of years, the Scottish mezzo-soprano has become one of the most internationally renowned interpreters of Elgar’s evocative masterpiece.
On March 22, 2025, at the Kolarac Hall in Belgrade, Katarina Bradić sings the solo mezzo-soprano part in Edward Elgar’s “Sea Pictures” with the RTS Symphony Orchestra led by Balázs Kocsár. The program also included music by Bela Bartók.
