Michael Spyres with Il Pomo d’Oro

Fresh from his Essen and Lisbon triumphs, Michael Spyres reprises the same program at the Aula der Neuen Universität Heidelberg on April 5, 2025, as part of the renowned Heidelberg Spring Music Festival. Once again, the Missourian baritenor will dazzle the audience with genuinely virtuosic arias from G.F. Handel’s “Tamerlano” and “Theodora”, Vivaldi’s “Artabano, re de’Parti”, Galuppi’s “Alessandro nell’Indie”, Latilla’s “Siroe, re di Persia”, Rameau’s “Naïs”, Porpora’s “Germanico in Germania”, Sarro’s “Achille in Sciro”, Hasse’s “Arminio”, and Mazzoleni’s “Antigono”.
Zefira Valova leads the historically informed ensemble Il Pomo d’Oro.
