Kangmin Justin Kim in The Seasons at Opera Philadelphia

Kangmin Justin Kim sings the role of The Painter in The Seasons: A New Baroque Opera About the Weather at Opera Philadelphia. Co-conceived by playwright Sarah Ruhl and countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo, this innovative work weaves a new narrative from Vivaldi arias, ensembles, and excerpts from The Four Seasons.
The production, staged by Zack Winokur and choreographed by Pam Tanowitz, also features Anthony Roth Costanzo as The Poet, Abigail Raiford as The Farmer, Whitney Morrison as The Performance Artist, Megan Moore as The Choreographer, John Mburu as The Cosmic Weatherman, and dancers Maggie Cloud, Marc Crusillat, Taylor LaBruzzo, Brian Lawson, Anson Zwingelberg, and Stephanie Terasaki.
Opening night is December 19, with additional performances on December 20 and 21.
Kangmin Justin Kim previously performed The Painter in the world premiere of this groundbreaking work last spring at Boston Lyric Opera.
