On April 27, 2025, tenor Juan Sancho returns to the Teatro Real Madrid as Pompeo in Antonio Vivaldi’s “Farnace”. This semi-staged production is directed by Mathilde Etienne, with Emiliano Gonzáles Toro leading the ensemble I Gemelli while also performing the title role. The cast is completed by Key’mon W. Murrah as Gilade, Adèle Chavet as Berenice, Deniz Uzun as Tamiri, Daria Proszek as Selinda, and Álvaro Zambrano as Aquilio.
Recognized as one of today’s most sought-after interpreters of the Baroque repertoire, the Sevillan tenor has been a regular presence at the Teatro Real, where he has appeared as Emilio in Handel’s Partenope, Grimoaldo in Rodelinda, and, most recently, Marzio in Mitridate, among other roles.
