Juan Sancho as Marzio in “Mitridate, re di Ponto” at the Teatro Real Madrid

Juan Sancho sings the role of Marzio in a new Claus Guth production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Mitridate, re di Ponto” at the Teatro Real Madrid. Ivor Bolton leads the Orchestra of the Teatro Real. The rest of the cast includes Juan Francisco Gatell in the title role, Sara Blanch as Aspasia, Elsa Dreisig as Sifare, Franco Fagioli as Farnace, Marina Monzó as Ismene, and Franco Klisovic as Arbate. The premiere is on March 23, with additional performances on 26, 28 March; 1, 4, 8 April.
