Juan Sancho as Bajazet in “Tamerlano” in Versailles

Juan Sancho returns to one of his signature roles, Bajazet, in a concert performance of Handel’s “Tamerlano”, on June 30, 2026, at the Opéra Royal du Château de Versailles, alongside the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan under the direction of Alibek Kabdurakhmanov.

Presented by the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, the performances feature a musical reimagining by composer and pianist Kirill Richter.

Juan Sancho previously performed Bajazet to great acclaim with the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan at the Dubai Opera in January 2026 and at the Wiener Musikverein this past April.

A specialist in historically informed performance, Juan Sancho has built an international reputation for the stylistic refinement, dramatic intensity, and vocal flexibility he brings to Baroque repertoire, qualities that have made his Bajazet especially admired by audiences and critics alike.
