Beth Taylor sings Tippett’s A Child of Our Time with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in Glasgow

On December 4, 2025, Glasgow-born mezzo-soprano Beth Taylor joins the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra for its landmark 90th Anniversary Concert at Glasgow’s City Halls, performing as the alto soloist in Michael Tippett’s A Child of Our Time under the direction of Ryan Wigglesworth.
This powerful oratorio, with its profound message of compassion and shared humanity, brings together the National Youth Choir of Scotland and an outstanding quartet of soloists, including Ashley Riches and John Findon.
The evening also features Sir Stephen Hough in Grieg’s Piano Concerto and the world premiere of a new commission by Ayanna Witter-Johnson.
