Beth Taylor in Elgar’s “Sea Pictures” with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales

On November 14, 2024, Beth Taylor will sing the alto soloist in Edward Elgar’s “Sea Pictures” with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales led by Martyn Brabbins at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre. A repeat performance will take place the following evening. The program also includes Grace Williams’ Hen Walia and Vaughan Williams’ 5th Symphony in D major. The Scottish mezzo-soprano has already sung the version for voice and piano of  Elgar’s atmospheric song cycle on several occasions, most recently at the Schubertiada Festival in Vilabertran this past summer.
