Beth Taylor joins the star-studded cast of a tour of concert performances of Henry Purcell’s “Dido and Æneas” in the role of the Sorceress beginning at the Philharmonie Luxembourg on January 31, 2024, sharing the stage with Joyce DiDonato as Dido, Andrew Staples as Æneas, Fatma Said as Belinda, Hugh Cutting as Spirit, Carlotta Colombo (Filia, Second Woman), Massimo Altieri (Sailor), Alena Dantcheva (First Enchantress), and Anna Piroli (Second Enchantress), under the musical direction of Maxim Emelyanychev leading Il Pomo d’Oro and Il Pomo d’Oro Choir. On the program also Giacomo Carissimi’s Jephte.

The following performances will take place on February 2 at the Barbican Center London, on February 4 at the Teatro Real Madrid, on February 6 at the Palau de la Mùsica, Valencia, on February 8 at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Paris, on February 10 at the Musikkens Hus, Aalborg, on February 14 at the Elbphilharmonie Großer Saal, Hamburg, and on February 16 at the Philharmonie Essen.
