Beth Taylor returns to one of her signature roles, Cornelia in “Giulio Cesare in Egitto”, for an extensive European tour with Il Pomo d’Oro, conducted by Francesco Corti. Performances take place in Vienna at the Theater an der Wien on February 4; Paris at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées on February 6; Budapest at the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall on February 8; Amsterdam at the Concertgebouw on February 10; Hamburg at the Elbphilharmonie on February 12; Barcelona at the Palau de la Música Catalana on February 15; Oviedo at the Auditorio Príncipe Felipe on February 17; Madrid at the Teatro Real on February 19 and 21; Warsaw at the Filharmonia Narodowa on February 23 and 25; and Essen at the Philharmonie Essen on February 27.
The Scottish mezzo-soprano has made the role of the tragic Cornelia one of her calling cards, singing it at numerous international venues; it also marked her Carnegie Hall debut last May.
