Beth Taylor in “Das Lied von der Erde” with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie

Beth Taylor returns to Gustav Mahler’s “Das Lied von der Erde” on October 30, at the Congresshalle in Saarbrücken, alongside tenor Klaus Florian Vogt and the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie under Josep Pons.

A leading interpreter of Gustav Mahler’s music, the Scottish mezzo-soprano has performed the cycle on several occasions in recent seasons. In February 2025, she sang Glen Cortese’s chamber arrangement at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées with the Orchestre de chambre de Paris, tenor Andrew Staples, and conductor Philipp von Steinaecker. That July, she performed the work at Munich’s Cuvilliés-Theater during the Munich Opera Festival, joining tenor Christopher Sokolowski under Finnegan Downie Dear. In March 2026, further performances took her to Rouen and Le Havre with the Orchestre de l’Opéra Normandie Rouen conducted by Antony Hermus.
