Michael Spyres in recital at the Wiener Staatsoper

On April 28, Michael Spyres performs a recital at the Wiener Staatsoper with pianist Mathieu Pordoy, as part of the “Grand Voices” series.

The program features works by Beethoven (Adelaide; An die ferne Geliebte), Wagner (Wesendonck Lieder), Mahler (Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen), Strauss (Op. 27), and Korngold (Unvergänglichkeit).

A frequent guest at the Wiener Staatsoper and a favorite with audiences, Michael Spyres returns to that stage beginning May 5 as Nemorino in “L’elisir d’amore”.
