Beth Taylor stars in the closing concert of the Händelfestspiele Halle

On June 15, 2025, Beth Taylor joins countertenor Nicolò Balducci for the grand finale of the Händelfestspiele Halle, taking place in the dramatic open-air setting of the Galgenbergschlucht, just north of Halle, Germany. The Staatskapelle Halle will be led by conductor Joolz Gale. The acclaimed Glaswegian mezzo-soprano will perform a selection of Handel’s most virtuosic arias, including “Come nube che fugge dal vento” (Agrippina), “Crude furie degli orridi abissi”(Serse), and the poignant duet “Son nata a lagrimar “and fiery “Al lampo dell’armi” from Giulio Cesare. She will conclude her program with three Rossini showpieces: “Giusto ciel, in tal periglio” and “Non lasciarmi in tal momento” (Aureliano in Palmira), and the effervescent “Non più mesta accanto al fuoco” from “La Cenerentola”.
