Michael Spyres in “Lyrical Daydreams” with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.

On March 28, 2025, Michael Spyres returns to his home state, Missouri, and specifically to the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center, as the star of a concert entitled “Lyrical Daydreams”, where he sings two passionate song cycles: Benjamin Britten’s hallucinatory “Les illuminations”, and Gustav Mahler’s melancholic and introspective “Songs of a Wayfarer”. Stéphane Denève conducts the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra in a program that includes Claude Debussy’s “Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun” and Franz Liszt’s “Les préludes”.

One of the most sought-after singers on the current international operatic scene, baritenor Michael Spyres is equally at home in the most prestigious concert halls.
