Kangmin Justin Kim in the gala concert “Le concours de virtuosité” at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe

There will be sparks when – on February 22, 2025, Kangmin Justin Kim joins fellow countertenors Nicolò Balducci and Eric Jurenas in a gala concert entitled “Le concours de virtuosité” at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, under the musical direction of Stefan Plewniak leading the Orchestre de l’Opera Royale Versailles. More specifically, the Korean-American countertenor will dazzle the audience with Handel’s “Se bramate” from “Serse” and “Se il mio amor fu il tuo delitto” from “Berenice, regina d’Egitto”; Porpora’s “Alto Giove” from “Polifemo” and two trios from the same composer “La gioia immortal che alletta” (“Polifemo), and “Temi lo sdegno mio” (“Germanico in Germania”)
