Kangmin Justin Kim in the gala concert “Le concours de virtuosité” at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe

There will be sparks on February 22, 2025, when Kangmin Justin Kim joins fellow countertenors Théo Imart and Eric Jurenas in a gala concert entitled “Le concours de virtuosité” at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, under the musical direction of Stefan Plewniak leading the Orchestre de l’Opera Royale Versailles. More specifically, the Korean-American countertenor will dazzle the audience with Handel’s “Se bramate” from “Serse”; Porpora’s “Se il mio amor fu il tuo delitto” from “Berenice, regina d’Egitto”;“Alto Giove” from “Polifemo”; and two trios from the same composer “La gioia immortal che alletta” (“Polifemo), and “Temi lo sdegno mio” (“Germanico in Germania”).
