Michael Spyres debuts Manrico in Il trovatore with the HGO.

Michael Spyres debuts one of the most iconic tenor roles in the entire repertoire by singing his first Manrico in Il trovatore, in a new production by Stephen Wadsworth and under the musical production of Patrick Summers at the Houston Grand Opera. The premiere is on October 18, 2024, with additional performances on October 20, 26, 29, and November 3. He will share the stage with Ailyn Pérez as Leonora, Lucas Meachem as Conte di Luna, Raehann Bryce-Davis as Azucena, and Morris Robinson as Ferrando.
