Michael Spyres as Lohengrin at the Opéra National du Rhin

A major career milestone for Michael Spyres, who sings his very first Wagner role, Lohengrin, on March 10 for the Opéra National du Rhin at the Strasbourg Opera, in a new production by Florent Siaud and under the musical direction of Aziz Shokhakimov, sharing the stage with Johanni van Oostrum as Elsa, Anaïk Morel as Ortrud, Josef Wagner as Friedrich von Telramund, Timo Riihonen as Heinrich der Vogler, and Edwin Fardini as the Herald. There will be additional performances in Strasbourg on March 16, 19 and 22, while the production will move to La Filature in Mulhouse on April 7 and 10.
